This shoe is a perfect racing flat for longer distance races, from 10K up to the marathon. It is a perfect combination of light, flexible, and sufficiently cushioned. The shoe is very popular at road races, and I recently set a marathon PR in them at Boston. Unfortunately, as with many ASICS shoes, they can’t leave a good thing alone, and the Ohana has been discontinued. The shoe that ASICS evidently intends to replace it, the Diablo, is harder, heavier, and has a medial post that makes it more of a motion-control shoe. I do not understand why ASICS seems to have a pattern of adding motion-control features to its best shoes.
